SOST – Social Studies
Social Studies 20-1
Students will explore the complexities of nationalism in Canadian and international contexts. They will study the origins of nationalism and the influence of nationalism on regional, international, and global relations.
Prerequisites: Social Studies 10-1 or Social Studies 20-2 or English 10-1 or equivalent.
Social Studies 30-1
Students are introduced to the complexities of ideologies. This includes the study of the origins of ideologies and their influences on regional, international, and global relations. Examining various political and economic systems will allow students to assess the viability of the principles of liberalism.
