Creative Writing Minor
Fiction, creative non-fiction, poetry, script writing — whatever students like to write, they can develop skills, practice the craft of writing and experience the joy of creativity with the creative writing minor.
In this minor, students develop and strengthen their writing style by examining the relationship between form and content, the theory and practice of composition, and the processes of revision. In workshops, they test their perceptions against the great writers of the past and present and those of fellow students. Students emerge with tools to express ideas in creative, captivating ways.
The Creative Writing Minor is available to students in eligible degree programs. ENGL 102 and one of ENGL 103, ENGL 104, or ENGL 105 are required for the Creative Writing Minor. Students must complete 18 senior-level credits. CRWR 195 cannot be used to fulfill the requirements of the Creative Writing Minor.
Note: Courses cannot be used to fulfil the requirements of both the Creative Writing minor and the English major, Honours, or minor.
