Art History Minor
The Art History Minor equips students with foundational knowledge in art history and theory, as well as skills in visual analysis, critical analysis, research methodologies, academic writing, and writing for an arts audience. For students currently enrolled in a practice-based discipline (such as Studio Arts), the Minor offers greater understanding of the historical, social, political, and cultural precedents of contemporary art. For those coming from other disciplines, like the Faculty of Arts and Science, the Minor enables a deepened consideration of the role of visual culture within their Major degree.
This minor is available to students in all eligible programs.
