Songwriting Minor
For Bachelor of Music
The Songwriting minor is unique in Canada. This minor recognizes the specialized needs of the songwriter in today's and tomorrow's creative industry, and presents an innovative Program of Study that integrates all aspects of the art and craft of songwriting including creation, performance, recording and production, and business and marketing.
A minor in Songwriting follows a prescribed Program of Study in addition to the common core courses students will take in their first year. Students enter the minor after completing their first year of the Bachelor of Music and choose from music options and non-music electives to customize their program.
