French Minor
For Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science
Whether learning French for the first time or building on existing skills and knowledge, studying French helps students engage with an increasingly culturally and economically interconnected world. Knowledge of an additional language improves critical thinking skills and broadens one's appreciation of the world and its people. A French minor is invaluable to anyone heading into a graduate school program with a second-language requirement or seeking work in the federal public service.
The French Minor is 18 senior-level credits with a minimum of six FREN credits at the 300-level.
Students must register in a level that is appropriate to their ability. Please refer to the French Placement information on the Humanities Department website.
